Bird Pest Control Stop Pigeons and Swallows Mud Nest
Bird pest control has to be the most labor intensive work I do in Los Angeles. To install netting and spikes in order to keep birds from roosting is harder than it sounds. First we need to get an idea of the size of bird. Small birds need small netting, like to stop swallows making mud nests on sides of buildings. If we install the netting too big, we could have problems with the birds getting inside. We also need to pay attention to building codes and the migratory bird act. Once the eggs are laid we can not harrass or disturb them until the young are grown. These are federal laws conserning birds and will apply in our offices in Daytona Beach, San Diego, Phoenix, Madison,Milwaukee, Green Bay, Chicago, Milwaukee, San Francisco, Sacramento, and St Louis

Bird balls are rarely a noise complaint, but rather a mess complaint! We all like hearing a happy bird singing outside our window, but we dont like 100 of them making mud nests and pooping all over the side of our house do we? But every year we see the swallows getting started about now, and just clean up the mess afterward. It is possible to get them to go elsewhere, through the use of netting attached to the side of the home. If the correct type of netting the swallows will not like the situation, and will go to a better location where they feel more comfortable.
We usually dont need to net the entire home, but rather the east side of the house, as swallows like to have the sun on the nest early to help keep eggs and babies warm. Birds all have to leave at first light to gather food, and get water. Bird traps are something we use for population reduction. Too many pigeons will cause that need, and we trap pigeons every day in custom made pigeon traps.Roof tops get heavy with droppings and can fall in if not controlled. The weight of several pigeons pooping all over, over time will get heavy and all it takes is a little rain to make it much heavier, and crush a home.
